If french toast and a golden mylk latte had a baby it would be our Golden State French Toast. Featuring fresh gluten free bread, warming spices, prebiotics and superfoods (thanks to our Golden State Super Latte), this lovable stack is here to nourish your body and warm up your senses with every bite.
1 cup unsweetened soy milk (or other non-dairy milk)
1/4 cup corn flour
1 teaspoon ground flaxseeds
2 teaspoon Knowrish Well Golden State Super Latte
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla
6-8 slices gluten free bread
2-3 tablespoons vegan butter or coconut oil for frying
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together the milk, cornstarch, flaxseeds, baking powder, Golden State Super Latte blend, maple syrup and vanilla.
- Add a little bit of vegan butter to a pan over medium-high heat and melt. Whisk the batter again right before dipping bread, as the cornstarch will settle to the bottom of the bowl.
- Dip each side of the bread in the batter and let soak for about 10 seconds, then add the bread to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown. Add more vegan butter to the pan as needed in between pieces of bread.
- Serve with berry compote, icing sugar and fresh fruit.
