SHROOM TACOS

Taco Tuesdays transformed with these veggie packed Shroom Tacos. Featuring you guessed it MUSHROOMS, these savoury bites are a must have for your next Mexican spread. Combining warming spices, fresh herbs and of course our Wild Fields Mushroom Broth, these tacos pack a punch in terms of nutrition and flavour.

WHAT I NEED

DRY INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup red onion, chopped

2 garlic cloves, chopped

3 cups sliced white button mushrooms

1 tsp smoked paprika

1/2 tsp chili powder

1/4 tsp cumin

2 tsp Knowrish Well Wild Fields Mushroom Broth 

Salt and pepper to taste 

 

TO SERVE:

Coriander 

8 soft tortillas

Avocado

Shredded cabbage


WET INGREDIENTS

1/2 tablespoon olive oil

Tacos salsa ( store bought)



MAKE ME

In a large pan, saute onions, garlic and mushrooms until mushrooms are browned on the outside. Make sure to drain excess water that accumulates in your pan.

Once mushrooms are mostly browned and the water is drained, add your spices and Wild Fields Mushroom Broth. Continue to saute until aromatic for another 1-2 minutes.

Divide mushroom taco mixture into 8 tortillas. Top with your favourite garnishes

TIP:  You can use package salad mix from the supermarket. It cuts preparation time to and already contains a mixture of greens & other veggies
